where art meets tech GEORGIA TECH INSTRUCTIONAL CENTER APRIL 5TH-6TH HORIZONS HackGT Register
about

There's a new event on the horizon! HackGT is presenting an Art+Tech make-a-thon called Horizons, where participants get to brainstorm, design, and create projects integrating art and technology. At the end of the event, we'll have a showcase of all the projects and judges will vote for specific categories of prizes.

Feel unprepared? Don't worry! We'll have plenty of mentors on hand to help with projects, presentations, idea creation, and technical difficulties!

questions?

What is a make-a-thon?

A make-a-thon is an event where teams of students spend a weekend utilizing resources and support provided by HackGT to bring their ideas to life.

How much will this cost?

Horizons is completely free! All you need to do is show up! We will provide the food, swag, and any other resources you need, so you can focus on your creation!

Who can attend?

Anyone 18 years or older can attend! With the resources provided and beginner-friendly workshops, students from any background can come and enjoy!

What should I bring?

All you need to bring is yourself and your laptop! Feel free to bring anything else (art supplies, tools, etc...) that you think would be helpful.

When can I register?

Registration is open! You can do so here!

How long is the make-a-thon?

Horizons will be a two day event: Day 1 (Friday, April 5th) will start at 6 PM and finish at 11 PM. Day 2 (Saturday, April 6th) will begin at 9 AM and conclude by 10:30 PM.

What resources will be there?

Good question! We'll be providing lots of hardware (Arduinos, Oculus Rifts, Raspberry Pis) and tools & supplies (paints, canvas, etc...)! A full list of available supplies is coming soon.

What size can teams be?

The max team size is 4 people.

What if I don't have a team?
